Details: The chili cook-off is the largest donation act of the year of the extraordinary foundation. This family-friendly event offers live music, a children's zone, drinks and endless chilli. The proceeds will go to the programs of the extraordinary foundation for adults and young people with intellectual disabilities.

Details: The annual fundraising campaign for Homewood Mountain Brook Kiwanis has returned and is open to the community of Greater Birmingham. The event includes a silent auction, door prices, a children's zone and all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, coffee and other drinks. The proceeds will go to the Homewood Public Library and other charity organizations in the Birmingham region, which focuses on children.
Village 2 village run

Details: The annual Village 2 Village 10k and 7.5K begins and ends in Lane Park, where a busy racing village is greeted with music, local sellers, snacks, mimoses, beer and a children's zone. The sponsors include Publix, Trak Shak and Birmingham Pest and Mosquito Control. The course meanders through the streets of the Mountain Brook to the Birmingham Country Club and ends between the picturesque streets of the Village Mountain Brook in Lane Park to get an exciting after-party.

Details: O'Neal Library Family Night presents masks, mime and clowning with Doug Berky. Berky's performance, “No Show”, is characterized by physical comedy, mime, music, mask theater, clowning and improvisation to delight the audience internationally and in the USA. A slight dinner is made available, followed by the show at 5:30 p.m. Berky, which has been creating and developing its own brand of physical theater for over thirty years and is known internationally for its mask production.

Women NCAA March Madness

Details: Birmingham will again organize teams from all over the nation while March Madness returns to the city. The NCAA basketball tournament 2023 brought Alabama and Auburn together with Houston, Iowa, Maryland to Birmingham. The NCAA is planning its tournaments years in advance, and Birmingham was won in 2020 for the organization of the NCAA basketball regional. The improvements to the Legacy Arena were attributed to landing the events. The Sweet 16 of the women will be on March 28th and 29th, and Elite 8 will play on March 30 and 31.
