Man found dead in Millers pond, Southampton, Request hearing

The 23 -year -old Andrei Beldiman was discovered on the morning of February 20 of last year by a colleague from his workplace from Woolston car wash.

The night before his death, Mr. Beldiman visited his girlfriend Ionela Florea, where he called her name through her window, as the Winchester Coroner dish heard.

In an explanation that was read by the Jason Pegg region, Ms. Florena said that the couple met at the car wash in the Portsmouth Road in Southampton.

The court's court heard that they started four months after their relationship, and the police intervened, with Mr. Beldiman asked to leave their home.

Ms. Florea said her relationship was good until the beginning of February.

When Mr. Pegg read her explanation, Pegg said: “I last saw Andrei around 8 p.m. on February 19.

“I was at home and spoke to my family in Romania when I heard him calling my name. I asked him through the window what he wanted and he didn't answer. ”

Mr. Beldiman did not appear to work this morning and a colleague went and looked for him.

It was hung in a forest area in the nearby Miller's pond.

As reported, a large police cord was set up and remained in place for most of the day when the police examined.

Dr. Matthew Sommerlad carried out the post-mortem exam on February 29 of last year.

In his report, he said it was a white rope with a single knot around Mr. Beldiman's neck when he was found, which “matched the ligature brand”.

There was no evidence of further injuries to his body, and he had no drugs or alcohol in his system. Dr. Sommerlad gave the cause of death as hanging.

The Romanian national Mr. Beldiman never told her that he was depressed or anxious “and had no problems of all kinds with anyone, said Ms. Florena.

The forensic doctor said: “As far as someone knew, he had no mental health problems. He worked hard in this country.

“In the morning, after seeing Ionela, he was not at work what was concerned about, and it was a colleague who was looking for him and found him hanging on a tree.

“Mr. Beldiman was undoubtedly influenced by the fact that his relationship was rejected, and he made his way to a piece of forest land near where he worked.

“He left a note for Ionela that clearly indicates the intention of taking life.

“The right conclusion in this case is suicide.”
