The concern to get sick from dirty water is finally over for the people of Vusama and Navisabasaba in Nadroga.
The Minister of Public Works Ro Filipe Tuisawau says that the Fiji water authority has completed the coalition government's promise and completed an important water project of 3.4 million dollars.

The two village have five water sources, fountains and a borehole, but this did not leave their suffering and the water was always contaminated and insufficient for them to maintain their livelihood.
According to Ro Filipe, the project included using the pipes to connect the villages with the main water supply.
It adds Sinohydro, which was also needed to ensure that the water system works well for a long time.
“So it is a critical project because the two villages have been suffering from water from water in the past two to three decades, I think. And there are some boreholes that are nearby, but as they understand, it is not only human activities, but also because of agriculture and all of these topics.”
Ro Filipe says that this project is a real implementation of the vision described in the water sector in 2050.
