Vietnam accelerates the nationwide data system

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed all ministries, agencies and places to complete their respective data systems by 2025 to ensure that they are connected exactly, comprehensive, clean, lively, seamless and completely from a central level. This ambitious plan positions Vietnam as a regional leader in the digital government and aims to integrate aspiring technologies in public administration and critical infrastructure.

The guideline aims to accelerate the nationwide digital transformation of Vietnam and to strengthen the integration of technology in relation to governance, socio -economic development and public services.

At the fourth online meeting of the Government for Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Project 06 on September 24, Prime Minister Chinh, Chairman of the Committee, requested accelerated and groundbreaking measures.

He emphasized the need for proactive, coordinated and timely efforts, interoperable systems, safe information management and specific advantages for the citizens. He emphasized how important it is to use AI analyzes, real-time data platforms and cloud computing in order to improve the decision-making and the provision of public services.

The prime minister instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to complete a legal framework for the support of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and project 06. The open, development -oriented and citizen -oriented guidelines are given before priorities.

This includes the submission of eight legislative templates to the National Assembly and the creation of decrees to implement new laws. PM Chinh also emphasized how important it is to prepare 19 laws of laws and seven resolutions in these areas for the approval of the legal provisions.

The modern, uniform and common infrastructure is of central importance for the government's vision. PM Chinh emphasized the strengthening of the skills at the municipal, municipal and special zone level and ensured that appropriate employees are promoting digital transformation and promoting nationwide initiatives such as “digital competence for everyone”.

These efforts aim to enable citizens to improve access to digital services and to promote integrative, technologically advanced society. He also encouraged cooperation with private technology companies and international partners to accelerate innovation and to ensure the introduction of global best practices.

Vietnam has already made considerable progress in digital innovation. The most important initiatives include AI platforms, 5G networks and blockchain applications. A portal for initiatives for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation was introduced alongside a technology exchange.

Three innovation networks were also introduced in quantum technology, cyber security and aerospace/unmanned aircraft, which emphasizes Vietnam's engagement for state-of-the-art research and industrial applications.

In August, Vietnam was one of the top 10 world for the Internet speed, with the 5G cover reaching 26% of the population. The first national data center was inaugurated and a fiber -optical cable of 3,900 km became operational and significantly improved, cross -border connectivity and digital infrastructure.

The digital technology sector remains an important growth engine and in the first eight months of 2025 generates sales of over 3.2 figures ($ 123 billion), which is an increase of 28% compared to the previous year. The hardware and electronics exports reached 111.4 billion US dollars, with the sector aimed at almost 170 billion US dollars for the entire year and contributed more than 12% to national GDP.

To support socio -economic development, 15 database platforms and applications, 18 platforms and service programs were provided nationwide in accordance with project 06 and 61 data -controlled tools. The “Digital Alphabetacy for All” platform has trained 203,000 learners 80% cheaper costs, while 373 health facilities control electronic medical documents that cover over 2.5 million patient files and improve the service provision, efficiency and access to citizens to health care information.

The digital initiatives also include smart city pilots, automated administrative services, AI-supported public security systems and nationwide programs for digital competence that further strengthen the country's innovation ecosystem.

Prime Minister Chinh also took on additional tasks compared to Vietnamstrom (EVN), ministries, agencies and locations in order to maintain constant progress in digital transformation. The integration of advanced data systems, infrastructure and citizens' initiatives ensures that its digital drive offers common advantages for governance, business and daily life.
