The Disneyland Monorail has returned to the service and the new entrance gates in the district in the city center of Disney are open. The Monorail closed on January 6, 2025 for the renovation.

The monorail can be grinded again in the resort. According to the reference, there are not many significant changes, especially not in the park. The most striking differences are over in the city center of Disney.




When approaching the downtown of Disney District Station, guests can see that working on the Parkide Market has now been completed. However, the biggest change is on the floor at the train station.

The new entrance gates are now complete and ready for operation. The entrance was redesigned as part of the general changes on the west side of the district. A new overhead structure with a curved design was added via the gates.


The photo above comes from the early 2023 and shows the previous style of the entrance area. With the new overhead, the umbrellas are no longer needed to protect guests and actors of sun and rain.






In addition to the new overhead structure, new gates, signs and digital screens have been added to the entrance and the output.


For comparison there is a photo of the station from the inside before the renovation work. The old look was more open with fewer directions.


The digital signs have Mickey Mouse graphics that thanks the guests for coming.


The new gates fit the new gates in Disneyland Park and in the Disney California Adventure. These have specific graphics in the city center of Disney District, including modern stars of the mid -century, while the gates have unique graphics in the parks.
As part of the changes, a permanent gate to the service receipt was also added.
