COP30 is the United Nations climate conference taking place in Belem, Brazil, from November 10th to 22nd, 2025.
UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs) take place every year and are the world's only multilateral decision-making forum on climate change, in which almost all countries in the world take part.
To put it simply, the COP is where the world comes together to agree on actions to address the climate crisis, such as limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, helping vulnerable communities adapt to the impacts of climate change and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
COP30 represents a critical opportunity to advance meaningful climate action at a global level. Delegates from over 190 countries, including heads of state, business leaders, scientists and civil society, will come together to advance efforts on climate finance, emissions reduction and adaptation.
