TimberTech Harvest+ Decking was chosen as the winner of the Good Housekeeping 2026 Home Reno Award

“TimberTech Harvest+ decking stands out in the sustainability category because the decking is made in the USA using up to 65% recycled materials, including post-manufactured vinyl that would otherwise end up in landfills,” said Dan DiClerico, director of the Home Improvement & Outdoor Lab at the Good Housekeeping Institute.

Each year, Good Housekeeping Institute engineers and product experts, along with a team of outside experts, spend months thoroughly evaluating the best products and services for home renovation and maintenance. As part of the evaluation process, analysts send products to consumer testers' homes to see how they perform in real-world conditions, while GH design professionals weigh in on style and aesthetics. To determine the winners, the jury focuses on key attributes such as quality, value, efficiency, sustainability and overall design appeal.

Both the durability and the authentic wood look of the Harvest+ collection stood out to the jury. “During extensive lab testing, our experts found that the decking is virtually indistinguishable from real wood and has no maintenance issues—meaning no annual staining and sealing and no worries about splinters and burst fasteners,” DiClerico said. “This TimberTech decking is a favorite of GH's style experts,” said Monique Valeris, Design Director, Good housekeeping, She noted her particular fondness for the color Toasted Wheat. “The textured details are visually appealing and the color option seems to stand the test of time.”

In addition to aesthetics, the TimberTech Advanced PVC decking line offers moisture and fading protection, enhanced slip resistance, Cool Touch™ technology and fire resistance. The decking is backed by a 50-year limited anti-fade and stain warranty and a limited lifetime product warranty. Additionally, it is made from up to 65% recycled material, making it a durable and responsible choice for any outdoor living space.

“The deck looks polished and will be easy to maintain,” said Marc Savatsky, a Boston-based builder and judge for the Good Housekeeping 2026 Home Reno Awards. “Compared to other composite decking I’ve worked with, it’s also more resistant to stains and scratches.”
