The overlay district will control the development of East Capitol Avenue

The Col. Darwin W. Marmaduke Home is located at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Lafayette Street.

A zoning tool introduced about eight years ago in hopes of preserving a historic district in Jefferson City will come into play as city officials consider what the future development of the East Capitol Avenue neighborhood looks like.
