Members of the Burnley Council development control committee were recommended to approved the new plans if they meet on Thursday evening.
The proposal submitted by Burnley Leisure and Culture would replace the existing nine-hole mini golf and the attitude of the area in Prairie Sports Village with a larger, more urgent 18-hole attraction for families and younger players.

The new course will offer a dramatic entrance portal of artificial rocks, dinosaur sculptures, a water feature with a fountain and landscape design to bring the prehistoric vision to life. Low-level lighting will enable the evening game and the course is enclosed with decorative fence and signage.
According to the planning report, the development should make the facility more attractive for families and children and at the same time act as an entertaining entry point in the Golf. A spokesman for Burnley Leisure said the goal was to “maximize the attractiveness of the entire golf center for families” and “to offer an open-air experience that introduces the younger generation into sport”.
The project would give Prairie Sports Village to another main attraction in which a Toptracer driving area, two Floodlit 3G football spots, a short game practice area and the popular Bar & Bistro from 1955 from 1955 are housed.
