“Well -designed, great number of visitors and very friendly people”: Penticton business owner on annual show

The Penticton Home and Reno Show has returned for the 29th year.

On March 8th and 9th, dozens of Canadian home building and decoration products for the annual event will be exhibited in the Penticton Commercial and Congress Center.

“We are very impressed by the show,” said Charlie Halpin, owner of Tumbleweed Landscaping in Penticton. “Well -designed, great number of visitors and very friendly people.”

The show was produced by the local branch of the Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) and regarded as the greatest of its kind in Okanagan.

Pools, patio designs, cupboards and artificial grass were among the many open displays, whereby the exhibitors carried out live demonstrations of selected products.

Home improvement services were also presented on the show.

“It is the only show like this in the city, so it makes it special,” said Halpin. “You have to be there or be square.”

Together with its broad spectrum of home building products, this year's show also pays the community.

On Sunday, the participants will be encouraged to bring their appetites, while the organizers cook tuxedo for lunch to support South Okanagan Women in Need Society.

The lunch costs 5 US dollars, with the proceeds to go to the South Okanagan Women in Need Society.

The show on Sunday runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is expected that thousands of people go through the doors of the event during the weekend.

Entry into the show is 5 US dollars.
