April 12, 2025 – The popular term Tuhelj has finally reopened its doors after massive 27 million euros investments. This investment is otherwise the largest in Croatian “thermal” tourism.
As Story.hr writes, the recent great (re) opening of Terme Tuhelj was a historic moment – the end of the greatest investment in the history of the resort of a total of 27 million euros. This investment positioned this leading thermal complex as one of the most innovative and sustainable goals in completely continental Croatia.
Cross -border cooperation between Croatia and Slovenia
Officials from Croatia and Slovenia took part in the event: Tonči Glavina, The Croatian Minister of Tourism, Matjaž Han, Minister of Slovenia for Economics, Tourism and Sport, and Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Director (HTZ). Their presence also confirmed the importance of Terme Tuhelj and this investment for the development of regional tourism and cross -border cooperation in the areas of healthcare, wellness and sustainability.
After more than two decades of continuous investments and growth, Tuhelj is currently one of the most modern thermal resorts in the entire region. The Tuhelj Investment Term, of which 6.6 million euros were co-financed by relaxation and the resilience mechanism, is the result of the strategic focus of the Termia Group in innovation, sustainability and sustainability High quality service.
The partnership between architecture studios, under which the architectural firm ONDA Arhitektura was to be mentioned, led to one of the most modern buildings in this part of Croatia. The resort introduces a number of ecological solutions according to the strategic ESG strategy of the Termia Olimia Group, which contains the following:
- Digital tools for more personalized user experience and energy efficiency
- Green roof bonds that contribute to better insulation, reducing urban warming and to protect and restoring the biodiversity of the ecosystem
- The installation of operating energy capacities (photovoltaic power plants and biomass boilers) with renewable sources that enable the Tuhelj term to save over 40% of its primary electricity consumption annually and thus significantly contribute to reducing climate change. These alone have increased the proportion of renewable energy sources to over 91%
- Advanced water recycling and filtration systems

All rooms have an interactive Tangram skirt designed by Marko Hrastovec.
