According to Shree Ganesh Utsav Samiti, a record number of 81,000 Ganesh Pandals with various topics such as “Operation Sindoor”, “Vocal for Local” and water maintenance were installed in Surat City.

With the upcoming Anant Chataturdashi, the Surat Municipal Corporation has created 21 artificial ponds for diving Idolen up to five feet long, while the larger direct directs from the pandals to Dumas, Hazira and Ichhapor take over along the coast. In order to ensure that idols are immersed, SMC and fire brigade officers are used at these points, while the transport personnel will be present on the ponds. The SMC has also taken precautions for giant cranes in coastal areas, so that the high idols can be taken in boats due to immersion, said official sources.
The district authorities had appealed to Pandal owners and the public not to dive into the TAPI river or channels on the occasion of the Anant Chaturdashi on September 6th.
In the meantime, the SMC has received 1,700 entries from various Ganesh Pandals for the nationwide competition organized by the government. On August 21, Harsh Sanghavi announced the Foreign Minister for Heimathäuser the competition for the best Ganesh pandal topic about patriotism with Operation Sindoor and Swadeshi with local materials. The winner will receive an award of 5 Lakh, followed by the first second place that RS 3 Lakh and RS 1.5 Lakh will be preserved for the second second place.
