Senator Dafinone distributes agricultural starter packages to over 300 Delta farmers

More than 300 farmers and emerging agricultural agents in Delta Central received on Friday at the grand finale of the two -day agricultural and nutritional program, which was made easier by Senator Ede Dafinone.

The initiative, the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun's conference center, took a practical training in plant cultivation and fish breeding and equipped the participants with the necessary skills and tools to start their agricultural companies.

Every beneficiary received a starter package that was tailored to his training module. Those who were trained on the first day in “pest resistance vegetables: tomatoes, pepper, corn and peanuts” were provided with high -ranking seedlings, fertilizers and pest control chemicals.

In the meantime, the participants from the meeting on the second day received fish feed, finger ling and pond treatment kits on the second day.

In the distribution, Senator Dafinone's commitment was emphasized for sustainable agriculture and youth qualifications.

At the ceremony, Senator Dafinone confirmed his commitment to combating unemployment and nutritional uncertainty by agribusiness. “Agriculture is the backbone of our economy.

With these starter packages, they are not only farmers, but also entrepreneurs who contribute to the production of food and economic growth, ”he said.

He asked the beneficiaries to use their training effectively and assured them to continue support.

The training, which was carried out in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Abuja, showed agricultural experts that gave practical instructions on modern techniques.

Resources led meetings for soil management, irrigation, pest control and market integration strategies for vegetable breeding.

The fishing trainees were trained in pond construction, water quality management, breeding techniques and disease prevention.

The master coach Mr. Obasi Sunday instructed the participants for the production of tomatoes and pepper, while Ms. Raheem Adejoke Arike covered good agricultural practices for the cultivation of corn.

Ms. Olabisi Oladele emphasized the control of peanut diseases and soil fertility, and Ms. T. Adeshola introduced innovative methods for the powerful okra agriculture.

On the day of the fish farm, the aquaculture expert Ogechi Happiness Ewa participants trained to sustainable fish pond management and maximization strategies.

For many beneficiaries, the starter packs symbolized a fresh start. Ms. Ogechi Ewa, a senior agricultural officer and trainer, praised the effects of the program: “With the enthusiasm shown here, I have foreseen a transformation into Agribusiness in Delta Central.”

The participants approved their excitement with Ogiechi: “I now understand fish farming better. I will do my own business in a few months. “

Olorogun Ejemudaro Salubi, project manager of Senator Dafinone, announced the surveillance plans after the training to ensure that the beneficiaries use their starter packages effectively.

“This initiative is not just about training, but about long -term effects. We will track to ensure that you are progressing on your agricultural trip, ”she assured the participants.

Victor Bajere, an initial fish maker, recognized the value of the program: “In the past, I thought that agriculture was for a living, but now I see the business potential.”

Another participant, Odia Antonia Sheke, added: “I can start with the starter pack immediately. I appreciate Senator Dafinones's commitment to our future. “

The empowerment program corresponds to the broader development agenda by Senator Dafinone and the national strategy of President Bola Tinubu to increase food production and employment.

In view of the successful conclusion of the training, the stakeholders expect an increase in agribusiness activities in Delta Central, which may reduce the unemployment of youth and to strengthen nutritional security.

Through the investment in agricultural knowledge and the provision of tangible resources, Senator Dafinone has positioned the youth and women of Delta Central on economic independence and increased agriculture as a sustainable path to prosperity.
