Scottsmiracle-Gro continues to expand his partnership with Trex in order to recycle plastic film waste from his production processes. Due to standard quality checks or shirts, the bullet bags and bags are scrapped.
So far, more than 135,000 pound plastic waste has been derived from our Lawreceville, Virginia, and Carrollton, Kentucky, via the Nextrex program. Trex processes plastic films in flakes, which are then combined with recovered wood in order to produce merged decks, railings and other outdoor objects. The program will be introduced to additional Scottsmiracle-Gro website in the fiscal year25.
