Rochester 2026 Garden subsidies: Now apply to beautify the neighborhoods | News

Rochester, Minn. – The city of Rochester accepts applications for the scholarships of 2026 Rochester.

This program finances the creation of pollinators and rainy gardens that beautify the neighborhoods and offer environmental advantages such as the support of pollares and the reduction of the water drainage.

The applications are open until December 31, whereby the gardens are to be set up in the growing season in 2026. The legitimate expenses include garden design, plants and soil changes. The grant is available to the residents of Rochester, Community Organizations and Schools.

Resources, including design templates and system lists, are provided by Blue thumb and the Expansion of the University of Minnesota. Applicants can also search instructions Expansion master gardener Volunteers.

The program introduced in 2020 updates the previous initiative “Real Rain Gardens Rochester” and continued the efforts to manage rainwater and the promotion of pollinator plantings.
