Mario Trimarchi's first solo exhibition in Belgium entitled ” Radical landscapesTake the stage at the A.Galerie in Brussels from October 11th to 3, 2025. The design exhibition presents a selection of Trimarchi's latest research projects, including unique objects and black and white drawings on paper. They are small, silent, poetic landscapes that are united by relentless research into the importance of balance and are understood in all its nuances. Trimarchi's research continues in the creation of unexpected and sometimes precarious objects.
“Radical landscapes is a parade of demanding raw materials such as glass, metal network, stone and brass in domestic and familiar forms. These fragile but conspicuous constructions talk to us about the unreachable balance of life, warmth and cold, instability and solidity, lightness and weight, transparency and opacity, ”writes Monika Unger, the creator and producer of the exhibition.
The Italian designer and architect worked for a long time at the intersection of drawing and sculptures. For Trimarchi, design is a journey, a relentless search for poetry in everyday objects. His work is looking for fragments of beauty through unexpected forms and emotional response. In each project, he confirms his conviction that design is not just about objects, but about the invisible threads of importance, beauty and imagination that are woven into daily life. In Radical landscapesTrimarchi invites us to research the poetic friction between natural and designed, between what we know and what we still see – an invitation that we should be happy to accept.
