Today we're taking a look at the first One Piece starter deck, releasing in 2025. Below you'll find out everything we currently know about it, including the ST21 decklist, card list and more details about the deck.
But first, let's take a look at what this deck is about.
OP-ST21: EX gear 5
This is a red deck, meaning it is best suited for players who like an aggressive play style and want to finish the game quickly. Additionally, since it is an Ultra Starter Deck, it has a slightly higher power level than the regular One Piece Starter Decks. That's certainly always welcome if you want to use it in a competitive environment with some upgrades.
As the name of the deck suggests, the focus is on Luffy's epic transformationthe so-called “Gear 5”, which first appears in episode 1071.
As expected, the deck is ready to play straight away, with 50 cards, 10 Don!! cards and a leader card. Speaking of which, let's take a look:

ST21 release date
In Japan, the ST21 deck was released on December 21, 2024. However, if you want the English version, you'll have to wait a while – until March 14, 2025. However, the deck may already be available for pre-order on Amazon and TCGPlayer.
