Miami Gardens, Florida a deputy of the Miami-Dade sheriff office shot and wounded a suspect in a Pembroke Pines Double Murder in Miami Gardens on Sunday morning, the authorities said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement took over the investigation.

The 27 -year -old Isaiah Collins was sought in connection with the death of Octavis Myers and a woman whose identity was not published.

According to the authorities, a representative discovered Collins in Miami Gardens shortly before noon.

The MPs said that Collins had run into a channel via Florida's gymnastics pike and went up a tree in the area of โ€‹โ€‹the Northwest 192nd Street and the Sunshine State Parkway East.

A deputy opened the fire and wounded it. Undersheriff Christopher Carothers said Collins had been shot in the arm, but stayed in the tree.

Carotherhers did not expressly say whether Collins was armed.

The authorities said that Collins had been flown to a regional hospital and was “stable” from Sunday afternoon.

Pembroke Pines police said he was charged with two charges for the first degree with a firearm and Miami-Dade “in connection with his capture”.
