Like Scandinavian style Minnesota's top home trend became

When it comes to home design, Minnesota does not follow the same blueprint as the rest of the country. While farmhouse and craftsmen styles could dominate HGTV, our state has a unique favorite.

Styles such as craftsmen, modern or modern farmhouse from the middle of the century are some of the most popular home styles that you will see in many HGTV HGTV shows in many home improvements or real estate shows. But here in the country of 10,000 lakes? Yes, our favorite is a little different.

Minnesota's most popular home style in New Study unveiled

HGTV series such as House Hunters, beach bargain hunt or bargain hunt on the lake shore (there are a lot of them-and my wife and I watch them all the time) present different houses from different parts of the country.

And whether it is the craftsman, the modern farmhouse, the modernity of the middle of the century (my favorite) or something easier like a ranch or a rambler, there are various styles of houses that apparently appear on these HGTV shows again and again. And thanks to the advancement of all of these shows, the conversion or repetition of your house, in order to adopt a new, updated style, has also become far more popular.

However, some styles are unique for certain parts of the country. If you are watching a Houven Hunters episode in Florida, you will undoubtedly see many domestic Mediterranean and Spanish styles. Or when an episode plays in Arizona or New Mexico, you will see many ranches or Pueblo rival houses. But exactly what kind of home do we like the most here in Minnesota?

And none of these previous styles is the favorite here in the country of 10,000 lakes. Here we like … the Scandinavian design the most.

When I read for the first time that the Scandinavian design here in the North Star State (and also in my home state of Wisconsin and in the state of Washington) is the top, I thought of Ikea.

The Scandinavian style extends over the list in Minnesota Homes

And as it turns out, this is a pretty good definition of what Scandinavian design looks like. According to the website Apartment Therapy.com, the Scandinavian design is “characterized by a focus on clean, simple lines, minimalism and functionality” without impairing “.
