LCG receives approval to resume the work on the Homewood Having Pond project in Milton | Local

Lafayette, La. (News 15) -Lafayette Consolidated Government has finally received a federal grant to resume work on a controversial drainage project, which was carried out by the former mayor President Josh Guillory.

It is the Homewood High Pond Project near Milton. Guillory's government had not managed to receive the necessary approval from the Army Corps of Engineers three years ago.

The project was discontinued by the current mayor President Monique Blanco Boulet, who tried to receive the necessary approval for the project.

The Army Corps has now granted a permit to LCG with which the work can be resumed. LCG will also enable reimbursements from state funds that were in the queue.
