The Fosun Foundation has opened Miss Dior: Stories of a MissAn exhibition designed by Grandma and Shohei Shigematsu and examined the 78 years of the history and influence of Dior. According to Grandma's earlier design for the debut of the show in the Roppongi Museum of Tokyo in 2024, the Shanghai edition contains local cultural elements and new works of contemporary Chinese artists.

The exhibition comprises 6,300 square foot over two levels. On the ground floor, the building facade of the building withdraws completely and opens the display to the surrounding city of Zhongshan Road and the federal government. Public rooms, including a café, a gift shop and a conference center, extend the range of the exhibition into the square, which is anchored by a large -scale reproduction of the 1952 perfume bottle.

On the upper floor, six topic-related galleries present around 200 objects, from archive documents and couture clothing to special tasks and contemporary works of art. Scenography moves between orthogonal and organic geometries with shifts in materiality and a palette inspired by Miss Dior's characteristic pink. Chinese motifs are interwoven into the design, including a paper fluid, a moon-like band portals and landscapes that are reminiscent of traditional ink washing images and combine Dior's heir with broader artistic and cultural dialogues.

“It is exciting to bring this exhibition to Shanghai, a city with such a dynamic cultural landscape,” said Grandma partner Shoei Shigematsu about the program. “The thematic environments play with the Aura of Miss Dior and with Chinese cultural motifs to create contrasting and yet connected rooms that immediately make the essence of the perfume felt and understood. The result is a scenography that is both rooted in place and which expand the timeless history of Miss Dior.”

The exhibition is one of several grandma in connection with fashion design. At the beginning of this year, the company presented an immersive exhibition for Louis Vuitton in the Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka and a traveling dior exhibition in Seoul. In 2022, the company completed a “multi -dimensional” exhibition for Dior in Japan.
