The Brent Council has approved plans for a residential building with 13 units with a former grass edge in Wembley. The development developed by GPAD with landscape input from game is part of a wider city infill approach in an area that was originally developed by Barratt Homes in the 1990s.
The proposal should optimize the use of non -busy land and at the same time include sustainability measures, including a net profit of 12% of the biological diversity (BNG) and an urban green factor of 0.78. These elements were presented as key factors for the concerns regarding the loss of existing green areas.
The existing area includes at the intersection between the Pellatt Road and the Chamberlayne Avenue in Wembley Greenspace.
The building has a number of accessible terraces and balconies in the first, second and third floor, planting along the northern edge and the active area in the south. A community roof terrace on the second floor offers the residents informal relaxation areas, including a committed seating plate with a view of the south and a corner with a view of the green.
The rooms were developed to create a feeling of housing, and are integrated in plants, with sensory species and a mixture of deciduous and evergreen shrubs, perennials and grasses, which add texture and seasonal variation.
Sustainability characteristics include green roofs, habitat boxes and pollinating -friendly plants to support the urban wildlife. The development also prioritizes sustainable drainage with rain gardens and permeable surfaces in order to reduce the risk of flood.
According to Match, the program was brought up by the principles of metroland and garden and is intended to offer environmentally friendly houses with crowded materials and potential renewable energies on site, which supports a more sustainable suburban model.
The approved system contains an additional store compared to earlier iterations after a design testing process is between the stadiums before the application. The proposal was supported by planning the MJP planning of planning the advice.
