Garcelle Beauvais takes fans inside her renovated beach house in Oxnard, California.
After the 58-year-old bought the house a few years ago Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star started a renovation project. And now she's showcasing the cozy abode, which boasts bright colors, funky decor and even a rooftop terrace that Garcelle described as “party central.”
“This has been my baby for three years and now it's finally here. This is where I want my kids to hang out, my grandson, my friends, my kids' friends,” Garcelle began in a video shared by Bravo's The Daily Dish on Dec. 24.
Inside the house there are white walls and lightly stained wooden floors.
As she showed off her beach decor, Garcelle revealed a gift from her RHOBA co-star, Kyle Richards55.
“Kyle Richards got me this, which I love, and I love that it's white,” Garcelle shared.
Hoping to achieve a “simple life,” Garcelle incorporated an L-shaped couch with cushions into her design.
As Garcelle walked into the kitchen, she showed off her turquoise cabinets, complemented by a white countertop and a simple, glossy backsplash.
“I wanted everything to be fresh and beachy, so I designed my cabinets in this color. I wanted it to be simple and open,” she revealed.
According to Garcelle, she took inspiration from her front door when choosing her range hood.
“I'm obsessed with my hood. I wanted it to match my front door,” she explained.
Another favorite feature of Garcelle's is her cherry blossom tree.
“I got my cherry blossom tree that I had to get from the plant dealer in Miami. I had to have it,” she shared.
Outside of Garcelle's kitchen, there's also a “very kid-friendly” pantry with “lots of snacks.”
In the powder room on the first level, there is some stunning bamboo wallpaper, which Garcelle says is from Amazon.
“Here we have my guest toilet. I kept this wallpaper for three years because I liked it so much and knew I wanted to use it. And got it from Amazon. Very simple,” she said.
After heading upstairs, Garcelle revealed her master suite.
“I love this room,” she gushed. “I wanted to do the shiplap…for the walls…I love this bed. This lamp here was designed by Lenny Kravitz. That’s why I like to say, ‘I go to bed with Lenny Kravitz every night!’ Don’t tell him.”
Garcelle's bedroom also features a two-sided fireplace, which can also be seen from her master bathroom.
“This is my zen room and look, the fireplace is double sided. One of the things I love is this big, huge shower, and I can sit in the bathroom or in the shower and still see the fireplace,” she shared.
A second bathroom is also located upstairs.
“In the bathroom everything is black and white. I just love it. I think it’s chic,” Garcelle noted.
Outside the bathroom is what Garcelle calls a “bedroom.”
“This is a room that the guys love because I have triple queen beds, yes I said queen beds, triple queen bunk beds,” she revealed.
Just off the master suite is access to the second level deck, where Garcelle enjoys coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
“But let me take you to the roof terrace. This is the headquarters of the party,” she explained. “I really wanted it to be spacious and entertaining. I wanted a hot tub. Here we have a small kitchen area with drinks, refreshments…”
