Four events in January in the Naples Art District

The Naples Art District will host a month of art this January, from weekly Open Studios to the En Plein Air Painting Festival, hosted in collaboration with the Naples Botanical Garden.

Open studios

Meet more than 100 artists in their studios every day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays (January 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30). See works of art come to life through artist demonstrations and learn about the artist's creative process and inspiration. Explore more than 50 studios and galleries to enjoy, purchase or commission art directly from local artists.

Saturday repeats of Open Studios will take place on January 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. On January 11, you can enjoy a special “Finale Art” version of the event, where locals are invited to explore or commission works of art to complete your home.

Special preview “Artful Arrangements”.

Trillium Gallery & Studio (5450 C Shirley Street) will set the stage for “The Floral Art of Ikebana” workshop on January 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. An Ikebana master will demonstrate the basic elements of “Ikebana: The Art of Japanese Floral Design – Color, Line and Measure” while guests sip and enjoy Japanese tea and traditional tea sweets. “Artful arrangements: original works of art reinterpreted in floral designs”

The district's annual signature event returns on January 16 and 18, inviting the public to immerse themselves in the exhibition of artworks such as exquisite floral designs displayed in studio settings. Enjoy original artwork and creative arrangements from member artists and local floral designers. A $20 donation is required for entry.

Outdoor painting festival

The art-filled month culminates in the En Plein Air Painting Festival, hosted by the Naples Botanical Garden on January 25th. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., artists from the Naples Art District will work in the scenic surroundings of the garden. Entry to the festival is included in the general admission ticket to the Botanical Garden of Naples.
