Fence improvements in the foley Welcome Center

A decorative metal fence near the welcome center at the intersection of Hwy. 59 and US 98 are the latest improvement planned in the Heritage Park in Foley.
“We will remove a 6-foot wood fence behind the welcome center and set up the aluminum fence, which is in the rest of the park. There will also be a good line of sight between 59 and 98,” said Jeff Phillips, Foley Construction Projects Manager.
The building, which was redesigned in 1962, was originally the foley library between 1927 and 1984.
The replacement for fence is one of several improvements in the heritage in the park, including an extensive sidewalk over the Heritage Park from Centennial Clock Tower to the North Chicago Street, a hiking trail for the new extension of the East Jessamine Ave. And a goal and a wall department at the intersection of East Jesamine. The city also replaces existing wood light sticks with decorative black rods that hold LED lights.
