Dorchester veranda collapse several people critically injured - NBC Boston

Two of the nine people hurt in a Veranda collapse in Boston's district of Dorchester on Friday evening.

According to Boston Ems, a total of nine adults were brought to several hospitals in Boston on Friday, including the Boston Medical Center, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Brigham and Women's Hospital.

The collapse sent the victims who gathered on the deck to the ground. The video of after the incident shows the veranda folded and collapsed in a V -shape inwards.

According to Rodney Marshall, fire chief of Boston, deteriorated debris that had already fallen.

“After the first collapse, there was a secondary collapse of the material that was on the deck. On the third floor there was a refrigerator and other different materials and they also came down in the secondary collapse. We believe that this also influenced the victims in the floor of the floor,” said Marshall. “You have to be aware of the age of these buildings, the types of material that you save on the building. The total weight has a total weight and the capacity, so we have heard more other incidents than people on veranda, decks and you have left it.”

The public prosecutor said they were aware of the incident, but had no further information. There were no updates from the police in Boston on Saturday.
