After 13 years, Gertrudes Restaurant and the Patio Café under the Leadership House of Restaurant Group, the Alan and Chantal Hauss owned by Alan and Chantal Haus, will end their partnership with the desert -botanical garden, the valley with fresh, locally inspired kitchen. The last day of service will be May 31st.
“Gertrude's and Patio Cafe were a place of connection – to food, to nature and to each other,” says Ken Protection, the managing director of the garden. “We are deeply grateful for Skip, Chantal and the entire staff of Gertrudes and Patio Café. This partnership has flourished because of them, and we wish you the best in your next culinary chapter.”
This bitter sweet end comes after the house decided to concentrate exclusively on their catering company Fabulous Food Fine Catering & Events that are continued as garden partners. The patio café has also been under Haus's leadership since 2006.
Gertrude's has long been known for his garden -driven dishes, seasonal cocktails and a beautiful environment in one of the esteemed destinations of Arizona. Since the opening in 2012, the restaurant has greeted the guests from all over the world proudly and has built up permanent relationships with local farmers, craftsmen and the Phoenix community.
“Many thanks to all my friends in the Desert Botanical Garden for a great 20-year partnership. We grew up together. It is now time for us to concentrate on our catering company and our family. A big thank you and the best wishes for our garden family,” Ship pants.
Guests with gift cards or reservations at Gertrudes are encouraged before May 31. The last service day of the patio café was May 11th. Gertrudes will honor all reservations until his final date. Anyone who registered for Gertrud's cooking class in June, July or August will be refunded.
The garden will share the new plans for the Gertrud and the Patio Café restaurant this summer.
