WILMINGTON – A man found by police floating in a retention pond earlier this week has been identified.
Devin Gwinn, 51, of Wilmington, was found just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the 2700 block of Patriot Way. The address is near the Pine Valley Library branch, which was closed the day law enforcement was called about a floating object in the nearby retention pond.
Investigators do not suspect foul play and have not revealed how long they believe the body was lying in the pond. However, the investigation is ongoing and an autopsy will be performed on Gwinn to determine the cause of death.
