the all-aluminum Custom Line 50 underway
Custom Line's new 164-foot flagship design has already received rave reviews and the shipyard in Ancona, Italy, is seeing strong customer demand for more. But the cool thing about the new all-aluminum Custom Line 50 shows that no one at the shipyard is resting on their laurels.
In fact, the project is the result of collaboration between the shipyard's Strategic Product Committee, led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group's Superyacht Yard Engineering department to build a lighter and more fuel-efficient 50-meter yacht. It shows that they are committed to optimizing every aspect of this new model.
The open and airy main salon
Made entirely from lightweight aluminum alloy, the hull was designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to optimize hydrodynamic performance. The result is a sleek, efficient design that reduces drag, improves stability and increases overall performance, ensuring a smooth ride and low fuel consumption. And this new model is designed to minimize environmental impact thanks to its reduced weight, advanced hydrodynamics and the use of recyclable materials on board too.
The upper deck is ideal for working out and relaxing.
As you would expect from a yacht whose exterior was designed by architect Filippo Salvetti and whose project architecture and interiors were custom-crafted by Studio ACPV ARCHITECTS, the yacht is stylish, sophisticated and modern inside and out.
The huge owner's suite is what sets the Custom Line 50 apart
As with many yachts in this size class, the floor plan extends over four decks. However, some innovative construction and design solutions such as the large owner's suite in the bow on the upper deck and the beach club with infinity pool integrated into the main deck really stand out.
Custom Line 50's Pool and Beach Club
The external design is timelessly classic and clear. The interiors feature an innovative and sophisticated use of materials such as textured Canaletto walnut cabinets and numerous large, curved windows, creating an open feeling of space and spectacular views.
Few 164-foot yachts have an owner's suite like the Custom Line 50
But when it comes to views, no one can really match the 280-degree views offered by the owner's massive apartment. The light-filled cabin windows are impressive and the cabin's sliding glass doors lead to a luxurious lounge with sofas, sun loungers and plenty of privacy.
Anyone have Netflix-n-Chill?
Further back are the stairs and elevator that connect the different decks. The Sky Lounge features numerous reflective surfaces that emphasize the feeling of openness. And the large, comfortable sofa that runs the length of the salon and a 77-inch Bang & Olufsen television in an elegant walnut and black aluminum cabinet provide stunning audio performance when it comes to “Netflix-n -Chill” works.
The killer owner's suite aboard the Custom Line 50
I'm not Italian, but I say this: Adoro questa barca.
