Marco Island's Calusa Garden Club begins on Monday, October 10, 2025, its seasonal official meetings. But between April (end of the “official year” of the association) and October (the beginning of the “official year” of the club), the members meet to discuss contact with the conversation about the garden gardens, flower design and environmental problems as well as the club activities of the upcoming club. Many successful projects sponsored by the Calusa Garden Club had their origin in an informal lunch in which ideas were shared.
On Wednesday, September 15th, the members of the Calusa Garden Club met in Cav's Kitchen and cocktails for their informal lunch in September. The lecture from that day was about the weather – did we expect a hurricane this year? Would the urgently needed rain continue this week? The eleven members who were able to take part in informal lunch in September have talked about their families and discussed the recent events on Marco Island.

Abig to conversation was the upcoming sale of plant and flower designs of the Calusa Garden Club and the Famila Fall Festival on November 22nd. The Family Autumn Festival is new for 2025 and was added for the traditional sale and flower draft of the club to address a new audience – families with children. The Chairmandiane Chestnut was able to involve families, organize games for children, to provide activities for children, to sell gardening and to sell hot dogs and popcorn. Chestnut also brought some of the sound flowers that she attached to the inserts to produce garden decorations that are sold to customers at the event. Some of the flowers had been wonderfully painted by CGC members in workshops, others were waiting for painting.
The Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island will meet on the second Monday of each month from October to April in the Rose Hall in the Marco Island Branch Library.
