Bokaro: Barricades will be erected across all major Chhath ghats, ponds and rivers in Bokaro district to ensure safety of devotees. The administration issued strict guidelines for crowd control, security and smooth crowd management. DC Ajay Nath Jha on Sunday asked all SDOs, BDOs, district officials and police officials to review preparedness and law and order situation. Special instructions were issued to barricade deep-sea areas with bamboo and rope. Police personnel, divers and NDRF teams will be stationed at each ghat. The DC also directed the installation of adequate lighting, drinking water and medical support at all locations in Chhath to deal with emergencies.
63 judges and police officers will be deployed in Chas subdistrict, while 86 officers will be stationed in Bermo. Warning signs are set up by the district information office to mark danger and deep water zones.
