At least 16 people were injured when a roof “in blinking an eye” during a massive bash near the University of Pittsburgh collapsed after shocking video on Friday and reports.
The film material circulating on social media shows the moment when several green night owls are packed on an awning when there are breastfeeding and more partiors on the veranda below.
A person who was under the collapsed roof made it unharmed and complained about the hard end of the celebrations.
“It just fell,” said Carlton Gbur to CBS and added: “Everyone had fun and then nobody had fun.”
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, sixteen students were brought to regional hospitals who suffered from a number of injuries, three in a serious state.
The local officials of the outlet were among the most serious crew of the brain, arm and leg injuries.
At least one dozen others were treated on site for minor injuries.
Other witnesses say that the cave happened before someone could react to the little catastrophe.
“Everything happened in the blink of an eye, the roof just collapsed, it felt so scary that I really don't have the words to understand how I felt at the moment,” Michael Estocin told CBS News.
Officials estimate that up to 500 people were stuffed into the yard, which was shared by several houses.
The house was considered safe after the incident, but the veranda is convicted according to the outlet.
