Pegasus Games wants to release Boss Fighters QRa new app-supported family game by Spiel des Jahr designers Lukas Zach and Michael Palm, who designed Pegasus Spiele's from Dorfrom (see “Game of the Year 2023 Winners“).

Boss Fighters QR is a hybrid boss fighting game where an app reads QR codes to detect players' actions and make the boss react accordingly. Each player chooses a hero deck from Jungle Troll, Hill Halfling, Copper Dwarf or Wood Elf and combines it with one of four class decks: Warrior, Mage, Rogue or Druid. The app recognizes these cards via QR codes and enables interaction between deck building and exciting boss fights.

The app also includes an introductory tutorial to help you learn the game and tracks the group's possessions throughout the game. Bosses come in four difficulty levels: from Beginner for families and new players to Insane, which is challenging for even the most experienced player. Depending on the level, bosses receive more health points, better armor and new tactics and abilities. Players who defeat a boss receive loot cards that they can use to upgrade their deck. The app is available free of charge in Android and iOS versions.

Boss Fighters QR is for two to four players aged 10 and over and lasts 40-60 minutes. It will be released in November with an MSRP of $49.99.
