Vermont Agentur of Transportation This weekly report contains a list of planned construction activities that influence traffic on state motorways and interstatens throughout the week of May 5, 2025. Please remember to drive safely in all work zones. Life depend on it.
Interstattes:
I-89 Colchester – In addition to exchange 17, improvements are underway. The I-89 exit 17 to the north is closed at night from Sunday to Friday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. in the night in Winooski or exit 18 in Milton during the nightly final duties. From Sunday at 7 p.m. to Friday at 8 p.m., the I-89 is reduced in every direction near exit 17 in a track, except during peak times (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the I-89 north and 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. for I-89 South). Motorcyclists should expect uneven gravel surfaces on the north torn outside the ramp during the day.
I-89 Richmond -The works on the i-89 in Richmond south of exit 11 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., drivers will meet the lane closures north (mm 75.45 to mm 77.0) and south (mm 77.29 to mm 75.71). The speed limit is reduced to 55 miles per hour in the work zone. The speed enforcement will be available and the fines will be doubled.
I-89 Royalton -The construction of the I-89 bridges near Exit 3 .. The traffic to the south uses the low-speed lane, while the traffic to the north crosses the median and returns to the north on the bridges. The exit 3 North Off-Ramp uses a crossover to the new ramp. The speed limits are 55 miles per hour in work zones and 25 miles per hour at exit 3 outside the ramp. VT 107 traffic can be diverted under the bridges due to bridge work with a speed limit of 30 km / h and a height restriction. Potholes have developed in both directions on the bridge and are repaired all week. Please use caution, expect delays and expect slow traffic due to roller street blocks during these repairs.
I-89 Swanton-Highgate -Temporary blocking blocks between the passport and travel traces will be available on the I-89 North for cold planning companies. These closures start on the 20th, extend to exit 21 and continue to go north. The blocking of the lanes will also be present on the I-89 South between the Carter Hill Road overpass and the output 21 for the work of improving the rainwater road from the shoulder. A temporary speed limit reduction at 55 miles per hour is available in the work zones during working hours. Motorcycles should watch on grooved and unequal surfaces.
I-91 Fairlee -T begining, a quarter mile before exchange 15 of the I-91 exit 15 is reduced to a single lane in both directions, and crossover, which distracts the traffic south by a bridge-deck replacement replacement project, are now active. A speed limit reduction at 55 miles per hour is available.
