Visitors to the Veterans Park in Newcastle now have a new way to connect to nature and one another – a pedestrian bridge that includes the largest pond of the park.
“This bridge is not just a way to get from one side of the pond to the other – it is a symbol of where we are led as a community,” said Jeanette McNally, deputy city administrator. “We invest in projects that make Newcastle more accessible, more beautiful and family -friendly.”
The 60 feet long, 10-footwide structure is built from self-heating steel, which gives it a natural, rustic look that connects to the park of the park and at the same time increases the weather of Oklahoma. The concrete deck offers a solid walk.
