NVIDIA will release a native GeForce Now app for Steam Deck.

At CES 2025, NVIDIA announced that it plans to release a native version of the GeForce Now app for Steam Deck this year. The company also announced that it will launch apps for Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S, and Pico mixed reality devices.

Currently, the service is available on Steam Deck via the web version. NVIDIA has even developed a script that automatically installs Google Chrome, configures the browser for controller use, and adds the GeForce Now shortcut to the Steam library. However, with the release of the native app, the user experience becomes even more convenient.

The app will be available on these platforms in version 2.0.70, while the current version is 2.0.68. This allows you to run any game from your library at resolutions up to 4K and 60 frames per second.

GeForce Now also provides access to the Xbox Game Pass catalog on Steam Deck. However, to access it, users will need to subscribe to both services, but even then it's cheaper than buying games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or the upcoming Avowed.

Additionally, at CES 2025, NVIDIA announced the next generation of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards and a personal supercomputer for AI work called Project Digits.
