Benetti Lady Estey: a Gatsby-inspired custom superyacht

The Benetti Lady Estey is the new B.Now 67M with Oasis Deck, which represents a milestone for the shipyard. This is possible through a combination of a versatile floor plan and a completely bespoke interior style 67 meters is part of Benetti's Steel Legacy and perfectly embodies the shipyard's desire to offer owners and their guests an exceptional experience, with a design that represents a synthesis of form, function and high quality workmanship. Benetti worked closely on this new design RWD for outdoor use, with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for the interior and Engage Maritime as representative of the owner.

A tailor-made yacht

Lady Estey highlights the flexibility of Benetti, which personalized a number of elements to satisfy the owner who was looking for an individual furnishing style. There are a number of adjustments: from the rectangular elevator for the central marble staircase with glass balustrade, wider corridors for passengers and personalized fire doors for the cabins, right down to the pools. In addition to the infinity pool on the Oasis deck, the yacht has one Pool with spa on the viewing platform and a 40 cm deep pool on the forward owner's deck (with waterfall effect to the stern).

Other distinctive elements include a Gym and a spa on the lower deck (with sauna, Turkish bath and massage parlor), a main saloon with a wing opening to the cockpit and the Oasis deck, and a Upper deck entirely reserved for the owner (with a forward suite and a private salon at the stern). The aft upper deck (with outdoor living area and dining table) is for the exclusive use of the owner: there is no staircase connecting it to the main deck.

From the inside out

The B.Now 67M was developed for this blur the boundaries between inside and outsideand both the interior and exterior have a sophisticated style. Using a light color palette for the original concept, the Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design team reinterpreted the design, adding: dark wooden panels, painted surfaces And contrasting tones. The strong visual impact of Lady Estey is a testament to the talent of the designers and the shipyard's ability to create spaces that communicate harmoniously with the marine environment.

Although the original concept called for light, natural materials, the client requested to move away from this style and create a yacht with shiny materials for a rich and appealing taste. The studio took over a Gatsby styleloved by the owner, and reinterpreted it by creating contemporary spaces, rich in materials and finishes but still harmonious. Sycamore, ebony, wenge, ziricote and Makassar woods as well as selected marbles were used. The entire process was the result of a close collaboration between the designers and Benetti, in the selection of materials in line with the overall style of the project and a curated design using a range of metal inserts And Wainscoting panelsmanufactured using a special process.

The style of the interiors extends harmoniously throughout the guest area, both stylistically and to emphasize the equality of everyone coming on board: wherever you enter the yacht, you must have the feeling that you are all on the same ship. The team started with the main salon, staircase and owner's suite and transferred these elements to the rest of the yacht: the client requested that each passenger cabin be furnished with the same style and luxury materials as his suite. The custom-made stairs is one of Lady Estey's more iconic elements as it marks a stylistic transition between the dark tones of the guest areas and the lighter tones of the staircase and is made of Calcutta marble with metal inserts. The Glass balustradea custom element that requires great expertise in manufacturing defines the identity of the yacht and transforms it into a true work of art.

Interfere

In the case of Lady Estey, one of the biggest challenges was to combine such a distinctive interior style with the exterior, an important part of the B.Now 67M's design. Although the materials do not match perfectly, continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces was ensured by matching the shades and width of the interior Durmast flooring with the teak exterior on the decks or by using materials similar to those used outdoors for the interior ceilings. This coordination underlines the harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces in the B.Now series.
