Carole Hurst, operations coordinator at Spinning Gate Shopping Center, worked as a part-time secretary to the center manager before later being promoted to personal assistant.
She soon moved into her current role as Operations Coordinator and was responsible for remediation and contractor work, taking orders and processing payments for all work performed at the center.

Additionally, Carole has frequently worked with community organizations and charities in the area, providing them with free shopping centers to help raise awareness and raise funds on their behalf.
Karen Cox, Center Manager at Spinning Gate Shopping Center, said: “I have worked closely with Carole since I started as Center Manager eight years ago. Carole has a lifetime of experience in the shopping center industry and will be greatly missed by us all.”
“She has dedicated over two decades to the Center and has worked closely with all of our partners, contractors, buyers and stakeholders to provide a friendly and warm welcome to all.
“Thank you, Carole, for all the memories we have created and for your hard work and loyalty to the center.
“On behalf of Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, I would like to congratulate Carole on her well-deserved retirement.”

Carole looks forward to spending her retirement gardening, spending time with family and friends and continuing to research her ancestry, having previously researched her family tree and discovered that her family has over 500 years of history in the city.

Reflecting on her retirement, Carole said: “I have a lifetime of memories of Spinning Gate and many fond memories of friends and acquaintances I met along the way.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey here at the center.”
