Boise Cascade announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Humphrey Company, Inc., a leading two-tier distributor of building materials based in Chicopee, MA, with trailing 12-month sales of approximately $145 million.
Established in 1987, Holden Humphrey's sales office serves lumber dealers and one-step distributors throughout New England, New York and New Jersey. Holden Humphrey offers a wide range of specialist construction products with a focus on cladding, timber decking and cladding products. They are a large supplier of James Hardie siding and this acquisition will also further strengthen distribution partnerships with IndeedTeed and Henry. Additionally, the acquisition will also allow Boise Cascade to expand our product offerings in several areas that are new to us in this region.
Boise Cascade currently operates 39 distribution locations across the United States and this new location further expands the company's distribution business in the Northeast region.

The transaction is expected to close in December 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
