Project description from Various employees

“Welcome to LuxeIsland, islanders.”
The farm's circular layout combines animal enclosures, a creative workshop, retail and dining, providing a balanced experience with operational efficiency. New structures are embedded into the landscape and create a continuous visual rhythm on the site. Gently rock-like architectural volumes emerge from mist systems and native vegetation. Semi-flooded animal enclosures with green roofs reduce the visual mass of the buildings and gently integrate the open farm into nature.

The architecture combines natural materials – bamboo, wood and stone. Bamboo weaving, a cultural symbol, is reinterpreted as contemporary imagery. Functionally, the farm combines animal interactions, parent-child education, market activities and events, forming a flexible space that balances aesthetics and functionality.

Scattered stone and bamboo structures. A spatial narrative woven into the landscape
The animal enclosures embedded in the slope are scattered and partially protected from the earth and fit seamlessly into the terrain. The farm merges with the surrounding landscape and dissolves the boundaries between architecture and nature. Each structure is designed to promote encounters – between humans and animals, between humans and nature.

The animal zone combines habitat, interaction and ecological education, with enclosures, resting pavilions and coffee and donut shops forming a functional cluster. The low-intrusion design tucks the enclosures beneath the slopes, minimizing their visual presence. The gentle slope allows animals to move around in the grass, while the earth-covered shelters provide safety and comfort.

Open paddocks, sand pits, wooden scaffolding and shady structures create varied habitats for alpacas, deer and other animals. The design balances safety with close, interactive experiences and promotes emotional connections between children and animals.

Creative workshop. An open, limitless space for relaxation and interaction
The creative workshop is a lightweight structure woven from bamboo, visually light and sustainable. Its woven dome and stone-like columns harmonize with the surrounding plants and animals, creating an immersive space integrated with nature.

Triangular cutouts in the bamboo dome diffuse dynamic patterns of light and shadow. An important social hub, this space serves as both a rest area and a café. The open courtyard extends into the surrounding greenery, creating a relaxed, artisanal atmosphere.

The outdoor area acts as both a relaxation area and an extension for interaction with nature and animals. Large, operable facades dissolve the boundary between indoors and outdoors, supporting arts and crafts, gatherings and exhibitions.

Under the descending silver disc: ice cream, donuts and a touch of joy
A silver disc shimmers in the sunlight and creates a vibrant focal point for cold treats. Its roughly structured facade is tactilely and visually reminiscent of mountain rocks. A nearby feeding house invites the animals to linger and creates gentle moments of connection.

A second dessert station in the shape of a UFO with a cantilevered metal roof exudes an impressive sense of futurism. In contrast to earth tones elsewhere, its sleek metallic form serves as a visual landmark and landmark within the site.

Feeding stall and washroom. Where function meets aesthetics
Grouped as a pair, the feed barn and washroom are topped with bamboo and metal roofs that float with sculptural lightness. The functional washroom is designed with a sculptural language: an entrance clad in stone and metal leads to an interior decorated with artisanal cement-based coatings and textured tiles, creating a clean and atmosphere.

Waldsternbühne at dusk. Versatile spatial scenarios
Many areas of the farm are designed for flexible use to support events and commercial activities. Sawdust-covered floors, hay bale seats and natural soundscapes create an open-air stage that reflects the free-spirited atmosphere of the farm. As dusk falls, fairy lights twinkle between the trees, transforming the space into a theatrical and magnetic meeting place.

Lightness, iconicity and a vision of future city life
The choice of materials reflects both ecological sensitivity and expressive intent. Wood, bamboo weave and red earth give the architectural cluster a pristine natural beauty, while strengthening its artistic identity and anchoring it in local culture.

LuxeIsland Farm is a spatial experiment in landscape integration, cultural translation and experimental trade. Various employees not only shaped the architectural forms, but also a new vision of public life. It is a farm, but also a futuristic installation gallery, a children's playground and an urban micro-resort for cultural tourism.
