Innovations in sustainability, terminal excellence and ground support were celebrated at the 25th on Tuesday, October 6thTh Interairport Europe’s Innovation Awards.
The focus of this year's awards was on innovation, excellence and transformative partnerships that drive the future of airport innovation.
The winners are selected based on a public vote, which is concluded with a rigorous review by the expert panel of the inter Airport Europe Advisory Board, which was represented this year Regional Gateway Editor: Chloe Greenbank.
Airfield lighting company S4GA won the Sustainability Innovation Award for its Solar CAT | Airport lighting system. The system is powered entirely by solar energy.
The Terminal Excellence Award was presented to Outsight for its passenger flow management product Spatial Intelligent Platform.
Leonardo SpA's baggage morphological analyzer, Bag Check AI, won in the Smart Airport & AI category.
TK Airport Solutions won the Ground Support Achievement Award for its fully remote operations and centralized passenger boarding bridge monitoring, Max Automate.
inter Airport Europe is celebrating its 25th anniversaryTh Edition this year, it's 25Th The Edition Impact Award went to ADB Safegate for introducing its exciting new products, including AI: Airside Intelligence, at the show. The company was also praised for its consistent contribution to the development of airports.
The final product launch of the year award went to Imenco for its FuelSCAN analyzer.
Syreeta Tranfield, RX Global Event Director, described the awards as a highlight of the show, saying: “They give us the opportunity to celebrate world-class, innovative achievements across the industry. It was incredible to see so many exciting developments.”
She thanked all the companies that submitted entries for the awards, adding: “It is clear from reading each entry that there is no shortage of innovation and development across all segments of the airport sector. This is an industry that does not stand still.”
