“FutureScapes: Climate Adapted Gardens” is the topic of the Edmond Floretum Garden Club program on Monday, September 15th, in Brackett Room on the third floor of Edmonds, 121 5th Ave. N.

Spokesman Naomi Goodman is the owner of Firecracker, a Landcape design company in Seattle, which creates gardens for the urban living space. It will examine how we meet wildlife in the front and in the center of the aesthetic and functional needs of the human inhabitants of a garden. It will also notify which materials are available on site and, as in the manufacture of new rooms, so much waste can be reduced.

Goodman has an Associates degree in horticulture and landscape design from Edmonds College, a Bachelor in art history from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Minnesota.

The doors open at 10 a.m. for the meeting, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
