How did your career started? How did you expand your work worldwide?
My career in the industry for wedding and event design started more than 20 years ago. I originally trained as an economist and when I had worked in a bank for a year, I realized that a traditional office job was not for me. The decision to move away from the expected way was the first step into the creative world where I really belong. I experienced many ups and downs in these years, but I was never bored. It was an incredibly worthwhile trip.
The worldwide expansion was a dream that slowly became reality. I always had a strong inner calling to explore more, go beyond borders and to challenge myself. I cannot determine a single factor that made it, but when I made the conscious decision to pursue international opportunities, the doors began to open.

I am deeply grateful to the people who believed in me. One of the first was Matthias Meilland, who offered his support and trust early. Then the team from Parfum Flower Company came; Arnold Wittkamp, founder and Cheffuturist at Dodd; Jelle Posthumus, General Manager at United Selections; And many others who played a role in the design of my trip.
A person who played a really crucial role on my trip is Joey Azout, the President of Alexandra Farms. Joey is not only a visionary, but also a generous and good -hearted guide who has built something extraordinary with Alexandra Farms. His passion for garden roses is contagious and his commitment to quality and innovation is really inspiring.
From the moment we met, I felt his real support and his belief in my work. He gave me the opportunity to design the company's status at the International Floricultural Trade Fair, which became a highlight of my career. Cooperation with Joey is always an honor – he enables creative people, promotes new ideas and helps to make dreams come true. I am incredibly grateful for the trust he has included in me, and I look forward to creating even more nice things together.
How does the location of your installation affect your design process?
Each location has its own challenges and opportunities, and adapting to different environments is an essential part of what I do.
While I can design outside of my home base, I can really thrive in unknown or high -pressure surroundings. I love to explore, learn and cross the limits of creativity. I always want to exceed expectations regardless of where I am.
Please describe your design aesthetics. What makes your designs clear?
Discovering garden roses was a turning point in my career. Before that I would say I was a normal florist. But when I discovered the beauty, texture and fragrance of certain varieties, I fell like© Alexandra Farms In love and my design style has changed forever. These garden roses became the soul of my arrangements. Over time, people began to recognize what I call my “fragrant signature”. It took eight years to build me up to this distinctive element.
I am aesthetically attracted to large -scale, luxurious designs that feel romantic, elegant and timeless. Garden roses are always in the heart of my creations and give every piece a story, a soul and a fragrance.
They offer master classes in design. How did you start and who should take these courses?
My master classes are really unique because they take place at real, high-end events. This environment offers the florists the rare opportunity to learn how it really is, for luxury weddings and special occasions in iconic places such as the Burj Al Arab (Dubai), the Hotel de Paris & Hermitage (Monaco), Luna Baglioni (Venice) and the Athénée -Palace (Romania). The participants feel the pressure and see the challenges associated with the design at the highest level, and this practical experience is incredibly valuable. I only work with premium flowers, which also determines the standard for what the participants learn and create. My master classes are ideal for florists at all levels, from beginners to experienced experts who are willing to improve their skills and possibly make their career global.
How long have you been working with Alexandra Farms varieties and how high are your varieties?
I remember that I met a sales manager at Alexandra Farms years ago during a private event at Parfum Flower Company in Holland Joey and Maria Paula. I had already seen Alexandra Farms at IFTF, but at that time I didn't fully understand the magic behind her garden roses. One of the central moments in our collaboration came when Dod to show me in an interview. For this article I chose a photo shoot with Miyabi. I also mentioned in the interview that the visit of Alexandra Farms was a dream of mine. The following year Teresa Schafer, marketing director of Alexandra Farms, invited me to visit the farm, and this visit set a strong creative connection.
Since then I have designed the Alexandra Farms Booth in IFTF for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024), and it is an honor for me to return to their 20th anniversary in 2025. The pressure is switched on, but also the excitement!
My varieties include Miyabi, Yves Piaget and Princess Fairy Kiss Pink Spr. And of course I have to mention Princess Alina, a breathtaking new white rose that was named after me this March. I hope it will soon be available so that florists can experience its beauty.
What's next for you? Do you have exciting options that you look forward to?
I always strive to create more than just flower arrangements. I want to offer unforgettable experiences through beauty, emotions and storytelling. This September we are organizing a new master class in Romania on one of the most breathtaking architectural sights in the country: the cultural palace in IA show. We will design the flower decor for the Grand Ball of Monaco, a really unique and luxurious event. It will be a unique event!
