City of Ilagan, Isabela (Pia) – Farmers groups in San Agustin, Isabela, have received two solar -powered irrigation systems (SPIS) from the Department of Agriculture (DA), which signals an important step towards climate -specific agriculture and improved livelihood.
The sales ceremony, which took place on August 22, 2025, was led by Rose Mary G. Aquino Rose Mary G. Aquino from there. The event also included the distribution of fuel aid cards and a caravan service for mobile agricultural services, which aimed to expand the government's vital support to local farmers.
The Masaya Sur Small Watering System Association received a static SPIS unit worth over 8.29 million peseters, which was financed as part of the RICE program for general funds from 2020 and 2024.
The San Agustin Dairy Cooperative received a mobile spis unit worth almost 1.2 million PIS, which was designed from the 2024 corn program.
Aquino emphasized that these projects comply with the commitment of the administration to promote sustainable and air -conditioning agriculture through modern, environmentally friendly technology.
“By using solar energy to electricity, these systems reduce the dependence on costly and soiling fuels, help farmers to reduce production costs and increase productivity. This innovation ensures stable water supply during drying agents, strengthens nutritional responsibility,” said Aquino.
The solar collectors continuously operate water pumps without relying on electricity or gasoline, which provides reliable irrigation, which supports harvest growth in the middle of the climate.
Aquino emphasized that this initiative not only enables farmers economically, but also contributes to the national agenda to reduce carbon emissions.
In addition to the irrigation projects, the fuel aid cards worth 904,000 to 47 of 287 farmers in San Agustin distributed and offer additional support to alleviate your operating costs.
The associated caravan service services also made it easier to register farmers with the registration system for basic sectors in agriculture (RSBSA), a critical step with which they are accessible to future government programs and advantages.
