Union, Maine Savior found the body of a person who had missed overnight after leaving the Crawford Pond.
The Maine State Police examines death, but was unable to provide any additional details on Thursday morning.
Union Rescue sent a boat on the Crawford Pond on the Boat Start on the MIC MAC Cove Campground shortly before Thursday at 1 a.m. to look for a paddleboarder. Half later, Union asked the Rockland fire brigade for support for its air drone.
Rockland arrived shortly after 2 a.m.
The Maine Warden Service joined the search about an hour later. The body was found by a viewfinder at dawn.
The search began after someone used to go out at the 600 hectare pond and had not returned.
