Reflections have highlighted the inspiring role of university students from the global south by promoting climate work through innovative, shared solutions for areas such as agriculture, recycling, mobility and early warning systems. Yuma Inzolia, head of capacity development at UNESCOISALC, emphasized the transformative potential of south-south cooperation in order to promote sustainability and reduce climate ratio. Ragini Malik von Unossc thanked the young participants deeply and undertook to support the scaling of their solutions through continued cooperation. Thing Sun From Unossc praised the ability of the students to convert powerful ideas into science and technological innovations, and was looking forward to expanding their reach through partnerships and real presentations in all regions. Bianca Herzog, program management officer of the United Nations youth office (Unyo), emphasized that youth leadership is of fundamental importance for the reaction to global challenges, encouraging students to build partnerships, to organize their efforts with global agendas and to actively participate in multilateral processes to ensure their votes. Together, these reflections underline the most important contribution of youthful prototypes and collaborative networks for promoting a sustainable and integrative future.
In order to close, Bosen Lily Lily, head of the partnerships and unit unit of the UNESCO IESALC, said that this is not the end, but the beginning of a collective journey. The young innovators have shown the world that Sti can drive the real change before the purpose and the cooperation, and young people, if they are increased with intergenerating, intercultural and interregional cooperation between the global south, university formation and beyond, the transformation of Stil ideas can lead to solutions and functional prototypes. Now it is time to demand wider support from stakeholders in order to bring the prototypes in communities and industries and to examine the transferability of solutions through further south-south cooperation. Liu also thanked the universities, experts and trainers and partners who made this boot camp possible.
Because it is known that it is better off if you can, the UNESCO IESALC and UNSSC – and the wider UN system – are obliged to create the basis for the 254 million young people in university formation so that they can innovate, lead and change the world through STI and solidarity. This initiative, part of the South-South University Cooperation Network (SUCN), which participated in UNESCO IESALC and UNSSC, embodies a common vision for just, integrative and sustainable university ecosystems. It is a lively example of the values in Chapter IV of the anchored values Pact for the future And the explanation of future generations – a commitment to equity, environmental responsibility and education as a force for transformative changes.
