Deck flame spread out in the house | Local news

A propane fire caused considerable damage to the exterior of a south -sided Thunder Bay in the early Friday.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reacted to Blaze reports in the Marks Street N. around 4:30 a.m.

The responding crews observed a wooden deck on fire, whereby the flames spread to the house through a basement window.

According to the City Fire Service, a propane device near the structure contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.

The fire was quickly brought under control before the interior of the house was further damaged, but there was considerable damage to the deck, outer and part of the bound wall hollow of the structure.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

“Thunder Bay Fire Rescue would like to remind the residents how important it is to keep propangent devices – including barbecue evenings and frying shocks – at a safe distance from houses and other flammable materials,” said Thunder Bay Fire Rescue in a explanation. “By ensuring adequate approval, the risk of fire incidents can be significantly reduced.”
