A new restaurant comes to Maple Grove, which takes the room of the former Red Lobster.
Northern Taphouse is a family -owned restaurant that currently has four locations, including one in Plymouth.
“We have been looking at Maple Grove for years,” said Matthew Lastis, partner at Lincoln Hospitality, who runs the family restaurant. Lastis spoke on Monday at the Maple Grove City Council meeting.
According to its website, Shea Design Firm heads the renovation of the former red lobster room. This conversion includes adding an outside terrace.
Northern Taphouse would also change its entrance to the building according to documents of the city council.
A precise opening date is not yet known, but the restaurant is striving for late summer or early autumn.
This area near Malones bar and grill was originally supposed to get a Dave hot chicken and a Hope's Breakfast Bar, but these plans never came into play.
