RK Miles' Michael Parada and Amanda monks with the winners Theo Finch, left, Eliza Mandel and Cooper Tatro.
Williamstown, Mass.-student of the fourth grade at the Williamstown Elementary School, took part in our junior marketers who create an advertising series.
RK Miles celebrates its 85th anniversary this year. It offers a number of products, including doors and windows, hardware and tools, colors and toddlers, wood and building material solutions as well as much more.
In his Custom Mill Shop, RK Miles can offer tailor-made products for all types of projects, including wooden panels, architectural details, molded parts and trimming, outdoor furniture, window cladding, doors and much more.
RK Miles is currently working at nine locations in Vermont and Western Massachusetts, including Manchester Center, Middlebury, Morrisville, Stowe, Barre, St. Johnsbury and Waitsfield in Vermont and Williamstown and West Hatfield in Massachusetts.
In their advertisements, the students expressly highlighted one of the products that RK Miles sold: the environmentally friendly Trex decking.
“We also sell Wood Decking, but I thought Trex Decking would be fun because it is seasonal. It is getting good outside. It is good outside, and everyone starts to get outside because it is held on the cold winter days, and this is the time of the year when people add improvement in the improvement of the room and the outer space, and the Decking decking is one of these ways with the Amanda -Mönch marked in the areas of Amanda.
The students were very committed and asked monks and Michael Parada by Williamstowns RK Miles Contractor Sales and Support.
“The children were very attentive,” said Parada.
Several students recorded the slogan in their ads: “Trex Decking has wood without maintenance.”
The material is designed as an alternative to conventional wooden deck and offers a more sustainable and easier to make it outdoors outdoors.
During their participation in the program, several students stated that Trex Decking consisted of 95 percent recycled material.
It's not really wood, but it looks like wood and offers the additional advantages of low maintenance, durability and weather resistance. The material does not require frequent painting or coloring, said Mönche.
The monks chose Theo Finch as the first winner for his outstanding design, with Eliza Mandel being third and Cooper Tatro.
“They were all very, very great. It was very difficult to choose because they all felt the feeling of having a new deck and why a new deck is something that is fun and creates a better life outdoors,” she said.
During the school attendance, the duo passed material rehearsals and explained it to the students.
They were interested in the colors, materials, color -coordinated screws and hidden fastening elements and the fastening of the Trex, said Parada.
It comes “in many different colors,” said Cooper and said Eliza, since the deck reused things, it does not harm the environment.
In their drawings, the students showed joyful people who enjoyed nature on or around their Trex decking. In several illustrations, children can be seen how they play football, basketball or swimming while adults grill on their Trex deck.
Theo pulled two people outside on the Trex deck and had a grill. He said, this shows that they have fun and that they are confident of the quality of the material.
Eliza pulled a family family who spent time together. The parents stand on the deck and talk while the children catch on a field.
She said this illustration shows how good Trex is good for patos and decks and the slogan “Trex Decking has wood without maintenance”.
Cooper pulled two people on a deck on a sunny day. One said, “I love this deck” and the other replied: “Me too.” Someone played basketball nearby.
“It was so nice to see children who are not in love with the arts to deal with something that is not necessarily a curriculum,” said Viola.
“You did such a good job, and it was interesting to see similarities between children who did not even sit near each other, and the similar thinking processes. It was really cool to experience.”
Some students have integrated their own experiences, and some mentioned that they actually have Trex decks in their own houses, she said.
One possibility like this is “important because it helps children make connections to the community members outside the school and have a local company like RK Miles with which they are familiar. It was just really great,” she said.
“And only having such an active role in your community was so exciting. It was amazing to see the smile on her faces.”
Monks said she took part in a similar project for a local pizza location when she was in primary school. Although she did not win, she made the opportunity to learn something about companies and may have built up their way to a career in marketing.
“I think it's good to be part of a community and let the children know that this is what we do and they learn and experience them,” she said.
