Truckee, California. (April 30, 2025) -May is the national month for Wildfire Awareness and Truckee Fire asks all residents to take measures immediately to prepare for the forest fire season by following the forest fire -reference checklist of the district. Building on the success of the measurement T-financed programs, Truckee Fire continues to offer important resources that make the stand-up preparation accessible to everyone.
“Since the Wildfire season is approaching, we need every resident to use these critical resources,” said Kevin McKechnie, fire chief of Truckee. “The programs that we developed as part of measure T have proven to be effective, but their success ultimately depends on the participation of the community. Now it is time to prepare our houses and neighborhoods.”
